Come On Out And Show Your Support For The Appalachian Angels With "Cruizin' For Kidz"
Hey North Carolina area riders! Come on out and show your support for The WNC Advocacy Group Inc.'s "Cruzin' For Kidz"! WNC Advocacy Inc. is a non-profit made up of small business owners in the community and is all about giving back to the community. This is their fourth annual organized ride. In previous years, they have done a ride called Ride for Pink, to raise money and support for breast cancer. This year, all funds and proceeds of this event will go to Appalachian Angels.
Appalachian Angels supports children, ranging from birth to 18, who have been placed in foster care due to circumstances that are beyond their control, such as, neglect or dependency. The goal of Appalachian Angels is to make the children's lives more comfortable, by providing funds that can be used for goods and services that would otherwise not be available to them. The vice president of the board also volunteers as a Guardian ad Litem who supports these children's best interests, by giving them a voice and speaking for them in court.
Help this year's cause by Cruizin' for Kids on the escorted ride before The Defenders MC Saturday, Sept. 27, at Smoky Mountain Steel Horses. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with kickstands up at 12:30 p.m. The cost for riders is $25 and $10 for passengers. Upon returning from the ride, there will be music, beverages from Okie Dokie Smokehouse barbecue. The public is invited to lunch at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 12 and older.
Registered riders are eligible for the $500 door prize, with everyone having the opportunity to purchase additional chances.
These kids need a voice and a friend to support them. Come show your support, for this good cause. Enjoy a good ride with some good food and good music, too!
